Sharon Nash

Sharon graduated in Physiotherapy from Auckland University of Technology in 2000, and since that time has worked primarily in musculoskeletal physiotherapy, with a focus on the hand and upper limb.

Sharon began treating hands in 2003 and was intrigued by the array of conditions in the hand, and also in the very different skills required to be able to treat hands effectively.

After working in private practice in NZ, she then worked in the UK, before coming back to NZ in 2006.

Prior to opening City Hands in 2010, Sharon worked in a variety of hand therapy practices and completed a post-graduate certificate in Acupuncture at Auckland University of Technology.

Kirsty Cocks

Kirsty graduated in Physiotherapy from Coventry University, UK in 2013 and has since gained experience across a wide range of public and private healthcare settings. Having developed an interest in hand therapy as a student she chose to specialise in 2016, working in multiple acute NHS hospitals before relocating to Aotearoa, New Zealand.

Following her move in 2022, Kirsty completed postgraduate training to achieve hand therapy registration. She is an experienced hand therapist who enjoys working with a broad spectrum of hand injuries and conditions, with a particular interest in trauma and post-operative rehabilitation.

City Hands has been caring for injured hands for 15 years (and counting!) and it is our privilege to do so
